ecognized as one of the leading seabased manning agencies in the Philippines, BSM Crew Service Centre Philippines, Inc. (BSM-CSC-PH) was formed on 01 July 2003 following the merger between Philippine Hanse and Hammonia Marine Services. Philippine Hanse Ship Agency was incorporated in 1979 and Hammonia Marine Services was incorporated in 1981. Both companies serviced the SCHULTE GROUP OF COMPANIES by recruiting and supplying competent, experienced and well trained seafarers for the Group and its international clients.

The staff members of both Philippine Hanse and Hammonia were integrated within BSM-CSC-PH thus providing our Principals and their seafarers with wealth of experience from the outset and of course dedicated service with a smile.

BSM-CSC-PH has undoubtedly benefited from the almost 60 years combined experience of its forerunners in the Philippine manning industry. We continue to build on the invaluable experience so far gained and have good standing with Government Agencies, Maritime Unions, Manning Associations, Training Centers, Medical Clinics, P&I correspondents and the likes. Our reputation was rewarded in 1989 when the company was elevated into the POEA Hall of Fame and we continue to frequently receive Awards of Excellence and Citations from POEA.

Year 2010 was a milestone in the Company's history when the President of the Republic of the Philippines handed over to BSM Crew Service Centre Phils., Inc. as one of the nine awardees from the sea based sector in the manning industry, the first ever "Presidential Award of Excellence" in recognition of our exemplary performance in promoting decent and quality overseas employment for Filipinos as well as for pioneering achievement, industry leadership and enterpreneurial initiatives.

BSM-CSC-PH operates from a modern, office in City of Manila. Our location allows for easy access to Government Agencies, Training Centers, and Medical Clinics as well as to the International Airport. The office provides us with a comfortable working environment from which we redeploy ex seafarers and recruit of both experienced and fresh graduates to augment the pool we draw on and to service an increasing number of vessels.

All seafarer's data is maintained electronically in a database that is shared by our Ship Management Centres, therefore making the exchange of information a seamless exercise.

Quality Management

Our Quality Management System (QMS) is the cornerstone of our business here at BSM-CSC-PH.

On 30 January 2013, BSM Crew Service Centre Philippines, Inc. had been certified by Lloyd's Register Quality Assurance to MLC, 2006. Our Quality Management System is applicable to "Provision of manpower to ship owners, ship managers, ship operators in accordance with the requirements of the International Labour Organisation's Maritime Labour Convention, 2006 (MLC, 2006) as applicable to recruitment and placement services". We received our ISO 9001:2015 certification from Lloyd’s Register Quality Assurance on 04 August 2018.

All aspects of our seafarer recruitment and supply operations are covered by our QMS, if it relates to the seafarers – it’s quality is managed.

Quality Management is our way of life here, our staff are trained, regularly briefed and updated in all aspects of quality management, the company reviews the effectivity of the system at least twice per year and internal audits are carried out at regular intervals so that we identify areas where our system can be improved, we don’t wait for our clients to tell us.

Work experiences and audit findings are ploughed right back into our QMS in order to constantly improve our service to our clients, we believe in “working smarter, not harder”, therefore we encourage all staff to learn from their experiences and report areas where improvements can be made.

Customer feedback is always welcomed, findings are not just corrected, thorough preventive action is implemented at all levels of the operation as may be required.

We have a dedicated Quality Management Representative and all our internal audits are carried our to International Register of Certificated Auditors (IRCA) standards by trained and certificated auditors.

Our commitment to quality is evident to both clients and seafarers, we have an organised, systematic way of doing business and we keep records of all activities.

As of 30 November 2013, BSM-CSC-PH had more than 8,500 seafarers deployed on board 600 vessels comprising of the following types: LPG Tankers (Pressurized, Semi Refrigerated & Fully Refrigerated), LNG, Crude Oil, Product, and Chemical Tankers, Container, and Bulk Carriers, Offshore support vessels as well as FPSO's.
